Chalon is very much a people-oriented business. We pride ourselves on the level of service we provide, starting at the sales end on the showroom floor through to production, installation and after care. Through a weekly series of blog posts, we will be providing a short profile on each of our kitchen Design Consultants to help build a picture of the type of people that make Chalon the award-winning company that it is.
Gildas Braine is an experienced kitchen designer who works out of both the King’s Road (London) and St Albans showrooms.
He is a graduate of the Inchbald School of Design and joined Chalon in 2013. He was previously a senior designer at Plain English, and has also worked for Farrow & Ball. Working on projects as varied as an Oast House in Kent, a gorgeous early Georgian manor in Hampshire or a seaside cottage in the Witterings has given Gildas the experience to create your dream kitchen in any setting.
His family moved around a lot when he was growing up, and this is where he gets his eclectic taste for design. Chalon kitchens remind him of his grandmother’s old farmhouse in Normandy, but he loves the way they also fit in beautifully in more contemporary spaces thanks to their timeless quality.
Outside of work, Gildas loves cycling around the South Downs or the Chilterns, as well as travelling further afield. He used to fence competitively and was a referee at the London Olympics. He speaks French, German and Spanish. Read Gildas’s profile on LinkedIn: – http://uk.linkedin.com/pub/gildas-braine/26/506/671.
Gildas is available for complimentary kitchen consultations at either the flagship London showroom or the St Albans store.
